IDGAF About Aliens #1 - A Spicy Sci-Fi Comedy
Who has time to get abducted by aliens when you're running late for a wedding?
While on his way to his best friend’s wedding, a groomsman is abducted by aliens. Now he’s Earth’s only chance against the impending invasion but all he cares about is getting to the altar on time.
IDGAF About Aliens is a 32 page sci-fi comedy Written By Anthony Stokes, Illustrated By Patrick Mulholland, Colored By RuggieDraws, edited by Don Mancha, and lettered by Es Kay. Fans of Rick and Morty and The Hangover will enjoy!
Full disclosure: I got to read the initial draft of this book and it’s a wild, fun sci-fi ride to parts unknown!
The comedy of the script had me reading Guy’s voice as Paul Rudd, and after seeing the visuals I think that’d be perfect casting if Rudd were younger. Without spoilers, Guy is on his way to a wedding. Not just a wedding, but the wedding of his lifelong friend, Derrick. Guy has clearly been a slack-ass friend, but this is his last chance to prove himself to Derrick.
And then aliens happen.
Guy is sucked into an alien ship to be examined, probed, and… other things that you’ll just have to read for yourself. It’s hilarious with a combination of visual humor, deadpan line delivery, and a little dash of naughty bits.
Stokes puts together a premiere adult sci-fi comedy here with IDGAF About Aliens. I enjoyed the hell out of it myself, giggling, snickering, with the occasional snort, and I’m looking forward to reading it again in its final form!
IDGAF About Aliens is in prelaunch mode on Kickstarter right now!

Fivestar #3
Into the Wolf's Lair!
Kevin Terry was a hero long before he took on the mantle of superhero. He worked with the youth of his community, trying to make a difference.
After being diagnosed with a deadly form of kidney cancer, he underwent an enhanced treatment that enables one's white blood cells to absorb electromagnetic energy and store it as chemical energy the body could use to heal itself. During the treatment, something went wrong -- causing Kevin to absorb too much energy at once, and transforming him into the hero now known as FiveStar.
Kevin Terry wakes up from a coma; he's just had a risky, life-saving experimental procedure done and is staggered to find out that though his life was spared; in doing so, his savior and best friend Marcus lost his own. As Kevin deals with the emotional impact of the loss of his friend he must also grapple with the unexpected side effects of his second chance at life; new superhuman abilities that thrust him fist first into the exclusive world of Superheroes as the unstoppable FIVESTAR!
After learning the truth about the death of his best friend Marcus, Kevin is presented with the opportunity to investigate the case. Can Kevin bring the murderer to justice, or will he allow his newfound extra-human fame to distract him from his mission?
Freestyle Komics is a partnership that I’ve enjoyed for years now — some of the most entertaining, well-done superhero books, and some of the best damn humans across the board. Ambitious and talented, FSK has something for just about everyone.
Fivestar is actually the first FSK book I ever picked up — actually, it wasn’t even an FSK title back then! Tony Klapper and the FSK crew opted to re-release the book, but rather than a reprint, they started it all over and re-mastered & re-arted the whole thing, with new art by the Reverend-Mistah Fish Lee!
Fivestar feels like a fresh take on classic Marvel Comics heroes — powerful but flawed, heroic but with personal issues — but, with a modern, indie take. The writing is personal. The art is personal. These aren’t corporate heroes1 owned by a big machine — and Tony and team pour everything of themselves into this title.
Pots & Panels: A Comic Book Anthology and Cookbook

CHEST FACE
A pulp noir parody about a stand-up comedian whose face is on his chest.
I’ve been WAITING for this release!!!!!
Legit. I had the pleasure of publishing the first appearance of CHEST FACE in my Spider-Squirrel & Trash Panda Titan-Sized Special and ever since I first saw those initial six pages2 I’ve been looking forward to a fuller treatment of this guy’s journey.
If you’ve read anything from Dean in the past, you know he excels at the quirky, the macabre, the darkly humorous, as much as he does at the traditional superhero works and twisted love stories. This monstrous metaphorical “menace” makes a mighty move into a messy match-up with murder, mischief, mayhem, mommas, and money. At least, that’s what I’m assuming because I’ve only read the first six pages. 😂
In a way, this is Dean’s Thing. I don’t mean his thing-thing, but his THING-thing. You dirty monkey…
As in, his Ben Grimm. It’s no secret Dean loves the Thing, so it was only natural that he’d create his own that is both a love letter to the Kirby-Lee creation as well as a completely different take on such street level characters. It’s fresh, funny, freaky, and 100% Dean.
I love it. You will, too, I’m sure!

Other books I’m backing, following, and/or supporting!!
That’s it for this one! Happy backing!
I love and read “mainstream” comics from big corporations; my point is just that these fellas are invested at a personal level into the characters and they don’t have to answer to shareholders. They just have to answer to you, the audience. 🥰
Those six pages are being reprinted as part of this Kickstarter release.
THANK YOU CHARLIE!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for backing Time Served!
